big brothers big sisters lehigh valley promotes program director

Big Brothers Big Sisters Lehigh Valley has announced the promotion of Maggie Klingseis of Hellertown to Program Director.

Klingseis was previously BBBSLV’s Match Support Coordinator since 2014, before being promoted to Community-based Manager in December 2015. She previously worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County.

In her new role she oversee all aspects of the program department to ensure that adult volunteers (Bigs) and children (Littles) are properly enrolled in the mentorship program and matched. Her role also handles customer service, focusing on volunteer options and child safety. She will support the staff in growing the agency’s services across the region, as well as with fundraising and volunteer recruitment while building relationships with community institutions such as schools, businesses, and social service agencies.

She holds a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from Millersville University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Elizabethtown College.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. For over 40 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters Lehigh Valley has partnered with parents/guardians, schools, corporations, and others in the Lehigh Valley to pair children (Littles) qualified, trained volunteers (Bigs) and monitor these one-to-one relationships throughout their course.
