Faces International, a global marketing and consulting firm headquartered in Downtown Allentown, is giving back to three community organizations amid the COVID-19 crisis. On May 19, Faces International, in partnership with Greeks United and local food truck The Taste Smokers, provided meals to those served by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley, James Lawson Freedom School and Community Bike Works, three area non-profit agencies.
Faces International’s Chief Executive Officer, Tyrone J. Russell, said keeping families healthy and fed in challenging times is just one key way the firm is working to better Allentown and the surrounding community. “We’ve built our entire company in the name of service to our community. And, while we know lives and worlds have changed in ways that providing one meal cannot correct, we firmly believe that any little thing we can all do for one another, can add up to a world of difference.”
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley, marking its 50th anniversary of service to the community in 2021, is the area’s premier one-to-one mentoring organizations. Its community-based and site-based mentoring programs help youth facing struggles in the area by pairing them with caring, upstanding mentors. Children and families served by the agency’s mentoring programs had the opportunity to pick up fresh hot meals on Tuesday, May 19th.
“Faces International has been a great partner to Big Brothers Big Sisters in many ways over the past several years,” Susan Bartels, the organization’s CEO, said. “We’re thrilled that they’ll be helping the children and families impacted by our programs through this generous donation, as food scarcity continues to be a huge challenge facing this community.”
