Corporate sponsor profile – beck packaging

We interviewed Greg Stoudt, President & CEO of Beck Packaging about his company’s involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley for the past decade, including our annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake tournament. 

1. When did Beck Packaging first become involved with BBBSLV.

It started in 2007.

2. Why did the company choose to support the organization?

We chose to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley because we found a common passion in all our employees. We enjoy supporting our local organizations and BBBSLV was a big one that we desired to contribute our time to.

3. In what ways does Beck and its staff support BBBSLV and its many programs? 

Beck Packaging has participated in many events with the BBBSLV, including the annual Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser that our sales team participated in.

4. What is the company’s philosophy on supporting the community, and what does it get out of it?

Community involvement is a long-standing objective at Beck Packaging. The company and its employee-owners have invested countless volunteer hours raising money for local organizations. Not only do we spend time volunteering, we take pride in sponsoring local events throughout our community and surrounding areas. Investment in the community is just one of many ways Beck Packaging and its employee-owners demonstrate our commitment to be a good corporate citizen.

5. What do you think the most important thing is that Beck staff have learned (or experienced) from their support of BBBLSV? 

We have learned the value of connecting with our community. Not only do we take pride in raising money and awareness for local organizations, we take pride in the relationships we build with the people involved with these local charities and groups. We aren’t only known as Beck Packaging we are known for our involvement with the wonderful organizations around us and that is something very special to us. Founder Irwin Beck was very passionate about helping the community and we continue to make him proud by supporting local chapters and connecting with the community and beyond.
